Introduction

Investors Direct Financial Group (IDFG) was established in 2001. Our mission is to help our clients achieve and maintain their financial freedom.

At Investors Direct, financial freedom means when someone is able to meet the following two criteria at the same time:

  1. When one's passive net income can more than adequately cover their desirable lifestyle expenses; and
  2. When one is able to be comfortable with their financial restrictions.

It is no easy task to achieve financial freedom as there is no guaranteed path to achieving it yet alone maintaining it. Many investors would like to be able to consistently select good investments in any market. We believe the following principles can greatly enhance your success rate:

  1. Always maintain a surplus by producing more than you consume.
    (Wealth is accumulated predominantly not by how much you earn or how much you are given, but by how much you can save);
  2. Improve your ability to manage money by putting it to appropriate uses.
    (You don't learn to manage money after you have a lot to manage, you have to learn to manage money before you will have a lot more to manage);
  3. Avoid making serious and repetitive financial mistakes.
    (Most serious financial losses stem from the attitude of "wanting big financial reward for no contribution, with no responsibility and in no time");
  4. Plant good seeds for the future by always adding real value to others regardless of immediate return.
    (We may receive what we ask for in the short term, but over the long term we will only receive what we give);
  5. Value yourself and others equally.
    (Do not do to yourself what you are not prepared to do to others, and do not do to others what you are not prepared to do to yourself).
