Introduction
Investors Direct Mortgage Solutions was one of the first companies in Australia to dedicate its entire team to exclusively servicing the mortgage finance needs of residential property investors.
In 2001, we saw the general lack of understanding of property investors within the mortgage industry and decided to create a lending environment that is property investor friendly.
Property investors tend to see investment mortgages as an effective means to obtain a good asset with financial benefits that far outweigh its cost. Hence the objective is to obtain more finance to acquire more assets so long as it continues to be prudent to do so.

What Investors Direct Mortgage Solutions does for you as a property investor in a typical mortgage transaction:
- We firstly use our experience to confirm that our clients are safe to obtain finance to acquire an acceptable quality property asset. We then do our best to obtain the right finance under the right financing structure;
- If we do not feel it is safe for you to obtain more finance, or even hold onto your existing finance, we will advise you of the risk we see you in and suggest a workable solution;
- If we find that you could be enjoying a better interest rate, or we feel we need to increase your cash buffer or reduce your debt exposure to a single lender, we may suggest you restructure your finance;
- If you provide your property purchase details to us before your finance clause expires, we can inform you of the quality of your investment from a lender’s perspective, to help you avoid any negative future consequences you may not be fully aware of.
What Investors Direct Mortgage Solutions don’t do:
- While it is a common practice for some lenders to allow brokers to add a margin to the interest rate they deliver to the borrowers, we have never done so since we began our business. That’s why our borrowers always get the best interest rates on offer by the lender through our business;
- We don’t cross-collateralise multiple properties to hide the low valuation of highly inflated property purchases, which is a common practice for property marketers to sell properties above market price. Each property purchase is valued and financed on its own;
- Our mortgage brokers don’t receive incentives to push any particular lender or its products as their income is not linked to the lender they choose for you.
